In this video I talk about my new Sony FS700 video camera. People have asked me why I went from HDSLRs to the new FS700 and I explain my reasons while also showing the gear I have in my kit.

Great video, thanks Tony. Sitting here right now waiting for the UPS truck carrying my FS700!

By the way, i'm originally from Oshkosh, WI! Nice to see a fellow Wisconsinite here.

Awesome Tony. That is a lot of why we recently also invested in an FS700. That and renting Phantom's for YouTube shoots was getting a bit excessive on the budget. I'm stoked that Sony finally brought these kind of capabilities down to these kind of price points. My biggest qualm with the slow motion on this camera is the way that it handles saving the clips. Instead of simply capturing the data and allowing you to save just portions of the buffer, similar to how the Phantom's operate, it makes you record the ENTIRE clip, which is a hassle when shooting on a time crunch.

Thanks Tony; very helpful. I found your thoughts on the kit lens to be very helpful and I can see me using it in some of the situations you mentioned such as behind the scenes, etc.

Now if mine would only get here.
