I think there is definitely something wacko about Kickstarter. Every site I've uploaded too was a piece of cake just resizing and encoding in QT 7 Player, for years. Please let us know what their tech support finds as a solution. I'd love to do a test encode and upload it to a private URL for testing, myself. Yep, has to be on Kickstarter's end. This H.264 stuff is simply not that complicated.

Please do let me know what Kickstarter tech support says. Ask if they can use a QT ".mov" or prefer a QT ".m4v" file. You've got me really curious now.

well - kickstarter got back to me - they said to keep the file under 250mb and there shouldn't be a problem. But the problem is under 250mb it doesn't look so good - the video is just under 5 minutes.
They say there file limit size is 500mb - so who knows....
after a week though I give up and will upload the inferior file.

Hey Ben
Final word from kickstarter was "yes the limit is 500 mb - but yer safe with 250mb."
So... I couldn't get it above 250mb - so that's what I'm going to post and put a link to another file at vimeo.
Wish this was not the case.... but - ya know how that goes.
Kev
