    Hello,

    FCPX 10.0.5, some import problems...
I tried to import a .mov DV codec and nothing happened, no messages, etc , clip just doesn't appear in the event list.
If I drag the clip from finder directly in project, no problem, it appears in timeline. I just can't get it in event library, using import or dragging&drop.

Some other .mov DV clips imported, but FCPX showed only the audio, no video data (in FCP 7 it imports fine)
Also, I got a strange behavior, 5 folders I imported as keyword: after closing and opening FCPX the keyword selections were empty, no clips.

Anyone had problems like that ?

    Thanks,
    Ulisses

    What codec are these files?
Be sure the Filter menu (top left) of the Browser is set to All Clips, and the search field (top right) is totally empty.

    Codec is DV NTSC
    Checked filter / search box.

Didn't you get anything strange with the 10.0.5 update ?

    Thanks,
    Ulisses

I've not had any issues with 10.0.5. I'd open those files in Compressor and export them as NTSC-DV or ProRes, to be sure you have cleanly encoded files. There is a known issue with some DVCPRO-HD and other HD files encoded in FCP 7 then brought over to FCP X. The difference between the QTFramwork and AVFramework engines seemed to have caused some issue. Never saw it happen with SD files, but that's where I'd start.
