Night Vision Camera?

I am working on a web series about ghost hunting. I am shooting interviews and daytime shots with a panasonic gh2 and looking for a cheap HD camera with night vision that we can use on our late night ghost hunts. Any camera recomendations?

I am assuming you have a lower budget, otherwise I would have recommended the Canon XF100. So what is "cheap"?

I know a lot of Sony camcorders used to have night shot mode. The Sony HDR XR200V (1/5" sensor), no longer being made, is an HD camcorder that has a nightmode, you can find them on eBay for between $300 and $500. There is also the XR500V, also no longer being made which is about $900, but its imaging sensor is twice as large at 1/2.88"

Look into them, and other cameras of course, then search youtube/vimeo for examples of their capability.

You will probably want to get an IR illuminator as well, usually just an LED light that uses IR leds instead of visible spectrum.
