Ive done a couple of (professional) shoots with the GoPro Hero 2 recently

You see them popping up on real life shows all the time (so much for BBC 50mbs!)

The camera is nice but seems to have some flaws - fisheye - stupid high shutters in the sun, lack of manual control, lack of ND options, I dont like the mount

I think it is time for me to get a small camera for small spaces/higher G mounting.. but was wondering the other options

    GoPro HD hero2
    SonyNex5/16 pancake
    GH2 and panny pancake 14?
Some lesser known camera - maybe a machine vision box?

    Any thoughts??

I saw somewhere on the net about a 50mm 2.8 lens for go pro. (ragecams I think) I was really curious about how that setup would look imagewise. (I have something coming that might require some decent underwater shots)
    DVX 100 / Sony FS100 (x2) / Canon 60D /HMC 150

I dont know about that lens but the GoPro doesnt seem to focus under water (due the shift I guess)

The Gopro hero 2 has three internal settings, wide , medium and narrow field of views so you don't have to have a fisheye effect all the time. Gopro just came out with a flat lens to make the image better underwater as wells several other companies offering better viewing flat glass for underwater use. The fact that go pro is going to release firmware that will give it 35mbs and 24p makes this an awesome camera.

Based on the amount of 5d jobs Ive done with two better cams sitting in my store .. I hate my 5d

I suppose I was thinking about some thing like this.. http://www.sony.co.uk/biz/product/nx...-mc1p/overview .. which appears to be interlaced only..
