I like it. Love the name. One of these actresses could be my Anna Karina.

I also had a thought, which I sent to Chris, about a Craigslist missed connections. Each participant finds a CL post from this section, gets a screen grab of it and writes a story. Might be fun.

Thanks for the beers, folks . Three is usually sufficient for a comfortable buzz.

I always enjoy reading and commenting in these fests (when I can), but it also helps me improve my own writing. It's a win/win all the way.

The more I ponder this theme idea the more I really like it. Chris?

Which one? I'm actually thinking of something that will be more appropriate for the next film fest.

The girls with guns theme, Godard-esque.

You mean war fest, or the one to follow?

A tie in with the next film fest would be great. Those writers who are also filmmakers will get the benefit of a longer development cycle, those that just write will see their scripts come to life. Plus potential film fest entrants will be motivated to participate, at least in the reading/voting even if not submitting. I was thinking about that fact that most of the alienfest scripts would be challenging and resource intensive to make when I was reminded of the Godard quote. That's what lead me to suggest it - everyone should be able to get access to both readily enough so the resultant scripts should be doable.
