Of course with the HMC40 touch screen, a flip-out hood is problematic. I had taken the smallest Hoodman model and cut some of the bottom out so I could still have nominal touchscreen access. It worked, but not real well; better than nothing. My Hoodman blew off during a shoot and was lost.

Does anyone have a better idea or product. I just wanted to check in on this before I spent another $25 for something that was pretty marginal to begin with.

Edit: Canon has discontinued that model, but the Velo brand at BH looks identical and for $15.
