Creating a Webseries: Lay out the rules

I honestly haven't really seen a webseries that has satisfied me in the ways described above. I think there are certain people that COULD pull it off, but it's quite difficult and i haven't seen it done at this scale before.

I think the film language to keep someone hooked on a web series hasn't really been developed yet.

What i do think works is hitting stride with a niche - especially if it isnt over-served with video content already. Also using already existing internet stars or memes can work as well.

Just doing a web series and uploading it usually isn't enough. You have to somehow hit the people or web sites that will help carry the word around.

It also helps to target an audience that is actually online all the time - like MMO game players.
