I have been told from day 1 that the C500 was going to be around $30K and arrive in the fall (my guess, Oct or Nov). I expect by mid summer we will know the price and delivery.....of course, I'll post it as soon as I know.....and there is also great interest in the primes that are coming...I was told yesterday that the 24mm EF will start to arrive the latter part of July.

Jim I heard or read once... or maybe it was just a rumor someone started... that Canon was going to make some less expensive primes sorta like the CP2's or is that just a rumor... lol

I actually might get to go to a screening of the C500 next week, not like I could afford one anytime soon, but hey hopefully I'll meet some cool people while I'm there and there is said to be some hands on time.

I've been told that Canon will have a press release out either at the end of this week or next week regarding delivery and price on the C500, pricing on the smaller cinema zooms shown at NAB....and maybe something else! As soon as its out, we'll have it up on our site.

    Jim,

It's been awhile since I held the prototype, & know it was a work-in-progress, so wonder if there's
any news whether Canon has upgraded the C500's LCDs? Seems the C300's wouldn't be up to the task at 4k, & require a focus puller.

    Thanks,
    Bern

Anyone know what frame rates the C500 can record internally in 1080?

    Cheers,

    Liam.
