What do you consider not very expensive?

IMO, the best value in a real cine zoom would be the Cooke 20-100 T3.1

...and an option on the other end of the spectrum that is actually quite cinematic would be an Olympus OM Zuiko 35-105 f/3.5-4.5 for $40 on ebay

I'm getting a lot of mileage out of a Vivitar Series 1 28-90/2.8-3.5 "variable prime." Totally varifocal, but dirt cheap, very sharp for a zoom, nice color rendition, flares easily when you want it to, and in a nice range for most narrative and interview work.

Do you support this lens other than just the lens mount? It's so heavy.
