Is it possible to connect two monitors with the CANON 5D Mark III. We have this monitor (http://www.swit.cc/EN/product.aspx?id=289) that we attach to the HDMI for the cameraman, but what about attaching a simple television with A/V out digital for directing?

    Cheers Niels

    1. use a HDMI splitter2
    2. choose a monitor that has HDMI loop through.

If I get a simple HDMI screen as second screen and get the HDMI splitter and connect that direct to the camera. Would the signal be strong enough for the Swit and the second screen? And if I want to connect my Panasonic HPX371 with the HDMI splitter with a SDI to HDMI converter in between as well Panasonic only had an SDI out), would that work?

I have a BMD HDMI-SDI converter and can hook up as many monitors as I like.

As long as the HDMI splitter is powered properly (usually 5v), there shouldn't be any problem.

I've run an un-powered split HDMI signal through a 30' $9 chinese cable before with zero issues. I don't think a powered splitter is required.
