ex3 telephoto lens options, for a helicopter shot

i'm using my ex3 for a helicopter shot and not sure the stock lens has the reach. it looks like it's ENG lens with adapter vs. dslr lens with adapter. while i'm using a tyler mini-gyro, i'm concerned about the lack of image stabilization.

thoughts? if i'm using an ENG lens i don't really know how to judge the focal length in 35mm equivalent terms. would i need support for the lens? would the IS and zoom servo work with the camera?

what else should i be considering?

How did the shoot go? Im interested to know how the EX handled the vibrations during recording. What lens did you end up going with?
