I bought the Nvidia GTX285 for $238 on ebay from macvidcards. It’s a PC version thats been flashed for a Mac. Works great in my Mac Pro. It’s a bargain since the next card you can get is about $700 with rebate.

How long have you been running it, and what kind, if any, mac support for drivers are there? Has this card been totally reliable for you? Is this one better than the Quadro, or just cheaper?

Works great. The drivers are from Apple that are already on the systems OS. I installed the Mac Cuda drivers from Nvidia for the card. The Quadro is a better card but if you can't afford it this is the next best thing. I have had no issues with it and it's been installed and in use for a few weeks. I'm even using older Cuda drivers that are certified for Resolve.
Now the AJA software for my Kona card is another story.FOR SALE - AF-100, Red 17-50

The Mac Pro is a Early 2009
Processor 2 x 2.26 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon
Memory 16 GB 1066 MHz DDR3 ECC
Graphics Card #1 NVIDIA GeForce GT 120 512 MB
Graphics Card #2 NVIDIA GeForce GTX 285
Software Mac OS X Lion 10.7.3
I have two graphics cards for Resolve. Still not using Resolve yet but I'm ready for it. I figured I might as well wait for Version 9 so I don't have to learn both.Last edited by Erik Naso; 06-07-2012 at 11:38 AM.
