Wow! I really liked it. Started out a little slow but the suspense was pretty good. Was the XF100 your main cam or the 550D? The images are extremely sharp.

Damn, really well done.
Some of the acting could have been better, but overall really good!

I thought it was really good. The problem was that as young people you tried to evoke an old feel but didn't do enough research. Telephones were dial. Lcds and mobile phones would have been futuristic in 1979. Red led displays were only just there think Sinclair zx computers. Official portable radios were pye pockefones (view the professionals to see what was used.) Radio procedure was very formal roger and wilco not copy which is American. Last thing is the nuclear bomb. They are not small devices and heavier than lead! The intro to the bbc news shows how formal the bbc were. Newsreaders read the news. They were all older - 40 plus and no graphics behind them just a background with logo. Newsreaders were very 'headmasterish' - and always clean shaven. Your newsreader was wearing modern style clothing - not the kind of thing we saw in the 70s. Technology is always the giveaway - but also a good feature to set era and period. The room is also very cluttered compared to the seventies. Think of your grand parents home now, it's likely to look quite different. You'd been careful and gone back in time a bit - but not enough. Young people in the 70s would have had mainly long hair. I think you did a great job - next time well worth bringing in somebody who can help you with the sets and the design.

The common yellow, white and red phono plugs were just white and red back then - yellow was an 80s introduction.

I had a seat in one of the underground bunkers back then - full of scientists and teleprinters, and we ran exercises in secret. I also think that the words your newsreader spoke would have been different - the official interference with reporting in those days - research D notice - meant that a news story of this kind would have been very carefully prepared, and delivered in very sombre tones.

Good stuff, though - and the only thing I didn't like in the entire thing was the image of the pocket watch in the palm of the hand - the fingers were out of focus! You've clearly got a good eye.

Most people wouldn't notice the technology being wrong - just me, I suspect. Paul
