Im using mxr for more than 1 year now and never failed. today after recording, i transferred the file to my computer but while transferring, there was the error that i cant copy the files and i need to restore it using the camera. I then placed the mxr with the card to the camera and tried to restore. the restoration was successful and can actually copy the files but the problem is that i cant access the files now using clip browser. The camera cannot also read those clips.
Any remedy that I can recover the files? Im using ex1 with the mxr. the card is transcend 32 gig and was using the card without any failure for the past 4 months.

A colleague of mine recently fixed this problem by copying the files to a proper Sony SxS card, then restoring that new card.

I asked my colleague for more details and this is what he said:
"I just copied it to the Mac then copied it to a new card. It asked do I want to restore I said yes and it did. Make sure you don't have write protect on your card that caught me"

You can preview with Treasured what the MP4 files contain (even if Clip Browser doesn't accept them).

Check also all possible XDCAM recovery workflows:

I just saw this post now. I had a simillar problem when using mxm adaptor and sandisk memory cards. It seems either the card is not fast enough for the camera or the card is not good enough quality. ie. too many bad sectors on the card. When this happened to me i was not able to transcode some of the clips into mxf files for use in AVID. I bypassed this by making subclips of the broken clip using the clip browser program. I would make the subclips around the footage where the bad sectors where on the card.
