Wondering if anyone has used any of the iPad prompters on the market. How do they stack against traditional for on-the-go shooting? Lightweight, portable? Cost-effective? Lookiong at the Prompterpeople Flex iPad and Bodelin ProPrompter HDi Pro2.

I bought one of these last week for "quick & dirty" run-n-gun stuff. Too cheap to resist.

I wrote my own teleprompter app for ipad. It works for me very well but it's not quite ready for the app store yet. If you have anything in particular you would like to see in such an app let me know.

Some of what it can do right now includes
    - save and load preferences
    - selectable foreground/background colors including quick presets
    - control speed, size, etc. from touch or usb keyboard
    - flip for use with mirrors
a few other features, but overall pretty basic at the moment.

Prompter+ is really pretty handy, especially if you have an iPhone, which acts as a remote.

I had a sudden monday AM prompter need, on sunday I downloaded the app, got an ipad holder at guitar center (clamps right to a 5/8 tube) and made a foamcore sunscreen.

Not as slick as the half-mirror models, but in a pinch worked well and the client said "thanks for bringing a prompter" - cut your foam clean and it looks very nice (though I will get a through-the-lens model at some point).

I'd be interested to hear how you like it.
