I am very new to sony nex and though i do have some older manual lenses and some L glass from canon ( waiting for my adapters to arrive so i can use them ) I like to buy some new lenses and not finding much on the net, i thought it would be nice to gather the user experiences of different lenses for usage on the sony nex system.
At the moment i'm looking at the FD telephoto lenses
fd 300 f/4
fd 200 2.8
fd 200mm f4 macro
any suggestions about these lenses mentioned above or other lenses you use?
The only lenses native to nex which are interesting is the 16mm 2.8 which i have and the 50mm 1.8 oss which i will buy later since i have a bunch of 50mm's

From those i have the 200 f2.8, is soft at f2.8 and have too much purple firing, chromatic aberration become less noticeable at 5.6 but at f4 is become a lot sharper.
The best FD glass i has used is the FD 85mm f1.8 very sharp at f1.8 and nice contrast colors and of course the 50mm f.14 what i consider is sharper than the EF version.
My FD glass are:
28mm f2.8
50mm f1.4
85mm f1.8
135mm f2.8
200mm f2.8
35-105mm f3.5

LensRentals is running lenst tests on a nex-7, using their Imatest setup, but they haven't tested such long focal lengths yet: http://www.lensrentals.com/blog/2012...ion-comparison
also, if you're into vintage lenses, check this tests: http://www.similaar.com/foto/lenstests/lenstestsa.html - http://www.similaar.com/foto/lenstests/lenstestsv.html - http://www.similaar.com/foto/lenstests/bokehtests.html(formerly known as NormanBates)

thanks guys
richg101 i already have de zeiss 50mm 1.4 and tough it is a very good lens i feel zeiss glass is generally a bit overrated. For video it is a great lens because of the nice long and smooth throw. Best 50mm without paying a lot of money would be the sigma 50mm 1.4. I bought one but returned it for the canon 135mm f/2 because it didn't focus well in wide apertures.
It will take some time till i get my adapters ( china ) untill i can try some lenses on the nex.
