I just bought a flycam rig setup 2 days ago. 7d , glide cam hd 4000, and 17-55 ef-s f2.8 lens. I went for the 7d instead of t4i because of the mosaic filter. My order with mosaic went in on the 25th. Transaction went in via their website. I got a phone call from Mosaic same day saying telling me that it should be at my door next week tues , we'd. I hope they are good with their word.
I bought the camera and filter not knowing I was an early adopter.

@Baddgsx - please let us know how you get on with the mosaic. I believe you should be able to turn up the in-camera sharpening with good results.

Im going to keep sharpening on 0 and do + sharpening in post using edius 6. I haven't looked into settings for presets on the 7d yet. I'm definitively going to download the technicolor preset. I watched a video from Philip Bloom doing some tests using the 5d and wide angle lens edge sharpness seems to be an issue. On the 7d however mosaic is stating better performance in that area. I did purchase a 17-55mm f2.8 and really hope I can always keep the filter in even at 17mm.
Ill keep you posted. Im going to give mosaic a call on monday. I have a couple questions

I recieved mine last thursday and shot a wedding on saturday with it. I had the in camera sharpening at 4 and it worked wonders. Gave me a slightly softer less contrasty image but with no false detail I was able to really crank up the sharpening in post. One thing that you have to get used to though is you don't have the false detail to help you focus anymore so it takes some getting used to but I was up to normal speed after 20 minutes or so. I also rocked the 16-35 on the 7D and 5D and the sharpness is definitely there on the 7D compared to the 5D.

@brooksclayton - have you tried increasing the sharpness in camera? my understanding is this is the big plus with this filter, you don't have to do it in post..

Yes in the past I've kept the sharpening at 0 or 2 at the highest in camera but I felt more than comfortable bumping it up to 4-6 with the filter in. Also, without all the false detail, I'm able to get a nice crisp image with sharp edges by applying a bit of sharpness in post.
