Here's what ours looked like. I guess we should have done a kickstarter. The prototype frame is 3D printed and fits in the same place as mosaic one.

That would be a mistake. I had bought two for my 5D's and not only did it make a huge difference on every shoot I used it on afterwards, but actually revived the resale value of the cameras when they were eventually sold together as a package.

Ok so basically meaning you "invented" something that you never sold...... Good move

You could have totally undercut them. Then again, still no t2i version out yet................

Maybe, and maybe I'm the anomaly here, but I have yet to run into serious aliasing problems in my shooting, in a way that can't be fixed or avoided, or is detrimental to the story. It would be a nice fix for $10, even $50, but for me it's not a $300 problem. Again, YMMV. I have no idea if I'm the minority or majority here.

I think you may be the majority. Many people are buying these, but I wouldn't think it's as a large number as all the DSLR filmmakers around. I've been thinking about it, and when the t2i version is brought out I more than likely won't buy it. Moire and aliasing suck, but so does this price.

I got burned on a couple of paying gigs by the aliasing on my 60D, so invested in GH1/GH2 bodies for shooting video. I miss the form factor of the 60D a lot though, and a couple of days hire pays for one of these, so I'll be going for it.

I am with you this far...

I have shot a number of different subjects with a array of different lens (of varying quality), and I can say it at most was slightly bothersome in some situations.

For all cameras except for the 7D that price is 30%+ the price of the camera, and for some of the Rebel owners is more like half, so it would have to be a serious problem inhibiting ones work to spend a good portion of he over all cost to address a issue people may or may not notice in some situations, IMHO

How does the filter interact with the mirror?

When you turn the camera off, the mirror normally wants to go back into it's normal position, will the filter allow for that?

nope, just like the one on the 5D the mirror will remain in the UP position. So using these filters disable your optical viewfinders. You won't be taking pictures with these filters anyway as the stills image has diminished in quality.
