    Inner Voice Effect in FCP?
    #1

I have some shots where we need to hear the inner dialogue of a character. We got the voice track in from the sound studio but I need to effect it so that it sounds like we are hearing his "inner voice"....hearing his thoughts, you know the effect.

I've been tinkering with the audio filters in FCP 7 but haven't found anything that I like. Has anyone done something like this? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

It might be fun to hear the voice mixed with a low heartbeat over a muted/muffled ambient trk.

That's a really good way to present a very tense moment.

Christopher, if you're looking for the "old standard" of inner monologue, you're essentially looking for reverb.
