Hi!
Im kind of a newbe on this and there for I would like some advice on what camera I should buy.
I need some tips and advice on buying a compact / semipro camera for shooting video.
The reason why I want a compact / semipro cam is that I also wanīt to have the option to shoot stills.
I donīt want any dslr or a bigger videocamera because I want to be able to bring it to concerts where dslr:s and bigger videocams are forbidden.
There are some main things that I want from the camera:
*good moviequality
*pretty small and compact
*a fair zoomrange
*good low-light shooting(with autofocus)
Iīve been searching on the net and the best camera to meet my requirement is this camera: http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/canong1x
But I wanīt to ask if there are other cameras that will forfill my requirement?
Hope that u understand what my bad English
Best regards: manutd

Have you taken a look at the Sony NEX-VG10 or NEX-VG20? I wouldn't say it's compact but it's not too large. I have the NEX-VG10 and I really like it. It's more of a prosumer-type of camera but shoots stills, has very good built-in mics (and includes mini-plug mic jack), headphone jack, image stabilization (with kit lens). Price is reasonable! And you can purchase lens adapters and use 35mm lenses on it.

If a compact with video option are you looking for, the Sony RX is your best friend;) for me is a lot better than the Canon G1X.

A Sony Nex 7 (have mic input) could be a good option too, just the overheating is a PIA.www.cajitacreativa.com
Sony Nex FS100 | Sony Alpha 77 | Sony Nex 5n
