    Hi,

I had a weekend to test the 5DmarkIII, I shot some test videos.
Read my quick review here: http://carousel.hu/c300/?page_id=395 (I also wrote some rumor debunking about the codec, and the sharpness thing, and posted some screenshots to prove it)
And feel free, to download the videos from vimeo.

    Thanks for watching

thanks! most of the aquarium glasses were curved, so you might see some strange distortion at the edge of the frames.

Might check out what jdv and Philip Bloom have to say on the matter. It's looking as though sharpening in post is pretty much mandatory with this camera. Having said that I don't have one yet, and given my finances it might be a while yet

I believe Philip Bloom is saying that sharpening in post is possible with the 5d3, where as with the 5d2 it was not. Otherwise, sharpness should be comparable between both, so if you were satisfied with the 5d2, you should be fine either way.

none of my clients ever said, that the footage coming out from the 5D is not enough sharp. You need a good lens, and a focus puller more, then post sharpening

Huski, very nice and informative videos! May I ask about the soundtrack for the aquarium footage?
