Cord wth fake battery for AF100
    #1
    Question
    Hello

i have a problem, i bought the Lanparte unit and tried to power my Panasonic AG-AF101, but i used my original cord with fake battery on 1 end that was originally included in the box together with my camcorder! and apparently it cant be used for that, cause it some how tells to camcorder that not original accessory is being used...... camcorder turns on for a second, but then displays the message - The battery cannot be used and camcorder turns off its self! I get same message when i use cheap china vbg6 battery, and usually i need to put it in and out few times before it starts working.

so seems like i need Not Original Cord with fake battery .... or decoded one, does any one knows where to get it? or what else i could do.

i really need to make it work.....

i found these links but i dont know if it will fit my af101, and also i dont know if its original or not, as i understand i need a not original one....:

Mine works with no issue. Have you tried plugging it in the AC / battery charger and test the original adapter? If it works then the adapter is good.
It could be the cable you made to work with the Lanparte dock that is the problem. Check polarity.

yes i did try my original fake battery cord with original ac adopter and there were no problems... it work fine.... i dont understand , if u r using just same things my also should work

the custom cord i did in order to connect the 7.2v hole with my original Panasonic fake battery cord should be fine , as i connected it to that 7.2v hole and measured with tester the V it sends out - 8.35v (btw could you check how many Vats do u receive out it? ), and also my camcorder turns on for a sec or 2 and only after that displays that message..... i am not electrition but i think if the polarity would be wrong i would not be able to turn camcorder on at all

did u also do a custom cord? or you bought it ready?

    regards

Hmmmm. I made a cable. Went to a electronics store and. bought all the parts and assembled the cable. Look at the original thread to see the cable I made. I believe I got that same voltage from the plug. Does the other outs work? I would make another cable.

just bought my edelkrone modula 7 ....... and kind of was hopping to use it with my battery

still i would like to find out about the fake battery cord! and buy an extra 1 .....so i could live 1 at home and other 1 carry with me....

I’m probably going to get another Panasonic power cable and add a new DC POWER PLUG, 1.4MM ID, 3.8MM OD plug to it.
I made the cable because I didn’t want to wait for it.

Your AF101 most probably rejects the power after measuring voltage during the power up, which is outside the range it expects it to be. Normally it is in the 7.2V-7.8V range.

This is perhaps where a hack would come in handy to allow use of 3rd party batteries....

could u plz measure the amount of VOLTS u get out of your 7.2V hole, i still think that problem i have with my unit is voltage issue..... as i get 8.35V..... if your unit gives u less then 8V then for sure i need to return it!

unfortunately the guys who sells DC POWER PLUGs (the link u provided) - dont sell internationally if orders are less then 100$ ..... i could not find it on ebay

so u think that that 14$ cable fits AF100? ..... if so i am going to buy it, i just did not know it as in compatible models list only 2 and i think consumer models, if its same one i am going to get it then...

    regards

same what i think, as its just much more. i get 8.35V , but i ve been told by the seller that i can use up to 12V.......

also on original image where the guy at manufacture checks the voltage - there was 7.97V .... its less then 8.
