What data rate does avc intra write to? I uploaded into fcp and noticed the data rate as 13.9 MB/sec. Is this correct?
(yes, I uploaded the file in its native form)

The name indicates the data rate, it is 50Mbps or 100Mbps depending on whether you are using AVC-Intra50 or AVC-Intra100. Note that is megabits, not megabytes per second. Divide 100 megabits by 8 and you wind up with 12.5 megabytes per second.

Thanks for the reply Thoff, but that doesn't answer my question(unless I misunderstood you). I know it's 100 megabits/sec for avc-intra100 and 50 for avc50. My question is, how did fcp7 get from 100MB/sec to 13.9? Also, why are you dividing by 8?

I just did some research. I got you now. 1 MB=1/8 of a mb.
