Literally, in the last week, I've had three people who I recommended DVXUser to as a place for info on the AC series tell me that there is no forum there for the AC130/160. This is ridiculous. If you must, lump them in with the HPX250, 'cause most of the discussion on all three cams has to do with features and problems that are identical on these three cams (there's a lot of redundant discussion in the two places, and a lot of info that is not but SHOULD be in both places). I know historically the P2/SD split has been a major organizing axis, but the 130/160/250 situation is different... these cameras are close to identical in many aspects. Or worse yet, but better than the current situation, change HMC cams to AVCams and include 'em all. But get at least some reference to the 130/160 to the top level of the forum, 'cause people are leaving with the impression that they are not represented here.

It has been a bummer to see the number of posts drop off so dramatically. I have gotten so much from these forums, but the restructuring seems to have had a deleterious effect...

Imho the issue is similar to Android phones - fragmentation. Quite some time ago there were a few subcategories for different cameras and inside you could find lots of discussions relating to various things. Nowadays, people start topics like 'best tripod for camera xxx' and you can see that in all different camera sub forums...
I'd say there should be some serious thinking and structuring done to avoid duplicate threads as this fragmentation makes you skip most forums, despite the fact that there most likely is something that i'd read...

The AC-130/160 is a logical upgrade for people with HMC150's so it would certainly make a lot of sense to at least call the HMC forum the AVCCAM forum and have all HMC cams and AC cams in there..way, way better than having them buried under "other" ..they will be pretty popular cameras so exposure so users will be important..I must admit it took me quite a while to discover that there actually WAS a sub forum for AC130/160!!!
