Nice. Hope to participate on this one, plenty of time and ideas so if I miss the deadline it can only mean I am a disorganised and worthless human being!

Nice theme Chris. Of course some that come immediately to mind, Super8 and ET.

This looks fun! A question about the two character limit: is it possible to have background characters with non-speaking roles? Ones that would in essence act as much a part of the scenery as anything?

If they have to be cast they count, so no. Two people and that's it. Other people can be alluded to or heard, like voices in the distance or a plane overhead, but no people that can be clearly seen.

What about robots? Since Sci-Fi is a possible genre...

What about a Wizard of Oz type scenario where there's several characters, but they're played by the same two actors?

How can you pull that off in a script?

Reviewers will judge what is family friendly. If your family was the Manson family your film night may have been a little different than most people.

I was thinking a sort of dream sequence thing. Dads telling a story, cuts to DAD (dressed as Pirate Joe), on a pirate ship. That kind of thing.
