When I type into a thread reply box the background is white and my font color is so light grey I can't see it? Is this user error or what?

IE 8, but strangely I am using IE 8 here at work and I clearly see white text on dark grey background which is nice on my eyes. I will double check the version when I get home later...

    thanks for your reply!

In the previous incarnation of the website, the 'post reply/quoted reply' edit box always came up with dark text on a dark grey background, then as soon as I would type anything, the whole box would just go 'dark'. The only way I was able to correct this was to click on the 'switch editor to WYSIWYG' box, then the effect was avoided.

It was sort of a pain, but I never bother to note it...

Right now, the text is white, and the background is dark grey (grey/brown/whatever...).

I use a Mozilla browser called "Seamonkey"... been using it for years... doesn't have all the fancy widgetry that FireFox has, but then it hasn't had some of the holes that FF has had...

As a note, I do see a 'white field' come up when i press the 'save changes' button, it just momentarily changes the background to 'white', then moves to the return page landing...

As a note note, the 'quick reply' box, comes up standard as 'white', but when I click in it, it immediately changes to the dark grey.

Its like the css isn't working for my browser, because when you click on the text box the background is suppose to go "grey" and when you click off of it (ie. somewhere else on webpage) it goes back to white.

On my home computer running Win7 IE v8.0.7601.17514 under Windows 7 32-bit the box is always white. I wonder if its my screen somehow? I can try ext monitor and check color depth setting... could be that simple.
