Well, maybe not everyone's... I've often said I'm probably the only one who ever used HE mode on the HMC... but AC130 firmware 1.11, announced today, says "Stability of process in HE mode has been improved."

    I'm happy... anyone else care?
"I'd like to say that I've never come across two know nothing pretenders on the weird wide web before, but unfortunately it's all too common and is exactly why, according to the last government survey, only 5% of all internet users ever use forums or chats. And it's exactly why I'm done with this one. You two really need to get jobs and out of your mother's basements. You can't fix stupid. And I don't have time for stupid." -swoopie

So what exactly is wrong in shooting in HE mode???

"Stability of process in HE mode has been improved." sounds so nebulous. What bug was fixed?

No matter how I follow the instructions, I can't upload the firmware to my camera. I am following the instructions piece by piece. The only problem I MAY be having is the fact that VISTA only allows me to MERGE this file and NOT overwrite the PRIVATE folder. Anybody having problems as well?

Ain't the instruction say that you should put the firmware file to your SD card? then insert your SD card and follow the instruction to get to your UPDATE menu?

Sure did. Followed the instructions like I do with my other camera firmware updates. Transferred the PRIVATE file...did the whole dog and pony show. 3 different cards and a zillion downloads. Menu will not read "UPDATE."

There is an old saying that goes: "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."

It doesn't seem to me that this update is worth bothering with, it is so trivial in nature.
