    GH13 specific thread

I’ve been meaning to post about our film in this section for ages, now that we’re in post sound, I can finally find a few spare seconds.
We shot the majority of the film in September of 2010 then shot scenes off and on until February 2011.
We’ll use this thread to update the progress of post production and beyond!

    Where we’re at:
    -edit is picture locked
-dialogue edit and sound design are under way
    -composing has begun

    Where we’re going:
    -design posters
    -cut theatrical trailer
    -finish website
-finish festival plan (start submitting by end of February)

Thanks for looking. Comments, questions, critiques welcome!

UPDATE APRIL 2013. The film is complete! New Official Trailer added! Stayed tuned for Screening/Release information!

    Looks good

A couple observations - The teaser trailer may be too long. I would like to see a few of your best shots, edited thematically. Something else that also piqued my interest was the 72 minute rt. What is the distrib/acquisition plan for your flick ?

What approx. iso's were the you shooting with the Lomo's int. and ext. ? I don't shoot dslr's, but out of curiosity...

    Good luck with everything.

    Stills look lovely!

I'm not a huge fan of the edit of your teaser though. Having footage of people talking (but not having any sound coming out of their mouths) is not a good move, in my opinion.

Much better to actually put a few snippets of dialogue in it. You know, to make us interested in the characters.

Either that or make it much shorter and just cool images. But I think the teaser is your first chance to hook everyone into your story. So give us a hint about the story!

Thanks for taking a look and giving some feedback! Much appreciated.

Yep, the film is short. We're hoping it gets programmed into a few festivals and opens a door or two for our next film.
In the long run we will probably distribute the film ourselves online and maybe sell blurays to those interested.

Interiors were all shot at 400iso, shooting stop usually 2.8 & 1/2 . Exterior at 100iso with up to 5 stops of NDs and a pola, shooting stops around 4 to 8.

Thanks again for the support. Nice to hear from someone else from TO.

Thanks very much for having a look Bruce. Good point about characters talking with no audio. That's something I'd probably do differently next time.
I thought a decent amount of the story came through in the visuals we chose though, but maybe not?
Thankfully, the teaser has been very successful for us and seems to have piqued a lot of curiosity, which is nice.

Thanks to everyone who has taken a look at the thread so far!
I'm going to be adding a couple posters up top soon.

Hi all! Back with another update.
Things have been pretty crazy lately, but we're just about finished post production. At last.
We should be mixing the audio this weekend!

    Here's a little video of us recording a track from the film's score, hope you enjoy;

Thanks to those who have been following our little film!
