New on Blueray

Hello,
I´m from the Pal land, I have payed work soon and the client wants to end in blueray disc. I got two cameras for the job, a panasonic 171, and a panasonic lumix GH1 Hack version.
I´m not sure of the settings in my camera. Should I consider settings thinking of ending blueray or not?
Normaly I would shoot this (wedding event ) 720/50p in two 64G cards and later decide if slow it down or not. But with blue ray I don´t know if I should choose 1080/50i or 1080/25p to end with much more quality ( because I will have more space disc ). I´m totally knew on blueray issues
