It would be actually really cool if DVX did a 15min or less short film festival. Just to give filmmakers with a lot more to say in their story a little more time to say it. 6mins is good for like short "segments", but sometimes is not really enough to sum up an whole story in its entirety. I always end up having to cut on average 3 mins anyway from my entires. Like maybe a Short-Feature Fest? I have plenty of scripts I am holding back adapting into shorts, because I would never dare try and cut them down to 6mins without destroying the story. What do you guys think? Maybe they could give us like 3 months to make it instead of 2.

It would also take forever to watch all the entries. Six minutes is plenty of time to tell a good story.

trust me I know this, and I dont mean to do one anytime soon. 6 min shorts are of course a great way to make films (and yes I have made 100s of 1-10 min shorts myself as well). and I dont mean they should make every fest 15 min, just like one big event. Vimeo does it I think.
