Recently making the switch back from Mac to Windows,
having a little bit of trouble with the HVX200 and P2 offloading after depending on P2CMS for nearly a year.

I understand the installation of drivers and P2 viewer, etc etc.

But, when i connect the HVX via USB, both cards show up in explorer as NO NAME, just as they did in the finder on a mac,
but are not recognised in P2 viewer?
I think this might just be my inexperience with P2 viewer, but i cannot seem to find instructions to the program anywhere?

Another though is that since the P2 cards have been connected to a Mac, i should reformat them on a windows before shooting?
    Im running Windows 7, 64bit.

    Thanks in Advance.

I'd right-click and reformat them in Windows, if simply to name them anything you want. Then Windows won't see them as "NO NAME." (The formatting itself is not Mac- or Windows-specific.)

Then see if P2 Viewer recognizes them. However, you have to set one of your windows (in P2 Viewer) to be viewing P2 cards.

After no luck with uninstalling/reinstalling p2 viewer/drivers and formatting cards etc. Problem was solved by....

Right clicking P2 viewer icon > Compatibility > run this program in compatibility mode for WinXP SP3

    now works perfectly!
after nearly 2 days of hunting through forums, i hear that this solution fixes some audio problems people are having with p2 viewer on win 7 OS also.

There should be a W7-compatible version of P2 Viewer available. I've never needed to run it in compatibility mode.

I have no idea why this happens, as the cards show up as devices in my computer like normal, but are just not showing up in p2 viewer.
