What do you use to create titles and title animation?

Hi All. I'm new to Edius and video editing.
I've been trying out the built in titler in Edius and I can't seem to make any title look good.
They look like lo res crap letters next to my 1080p footage.

I'm sure a lot of it's due to my lack of knowledge but I have a feeling that people using Edius are using something else for their titles.

So any recommendations for nice looking titles?

Are you using the preview button located left of the question mark (version info)?

Most of us with Edius use Vistitle instead of the default Edius titler. The default is good, you might have to resize the edius titler to your aspect ratio in the titler menu.

Hi hope this helps I only use that base titler in edius for the basic work, and use Adobe Photoshop to do the rest, create a Targa sequence out or make PNG's and then import them into Edius, I am able do so much more , including 3d picture in picture effect on the files.
