    Pany's new 3D cam, HDC-Z10000 - workflow?

Does anyone know a workflow to get 3d files from HDC-Z1000 into FCP?
From what I can tell, the only NLE to edit these MVC files natively is Vegas, but I need something on the mac side, preferably in FCP.
I have been shooting with the sony NX3d1, which comes with PC software that can split the 3d files into left/right eye 2d files. Then I use cineform neo3d to convert and remux LR into stereo and drop into FCP. Its a pretty ardous workaround, but at least it works. But with the pany camera, I can't find any good software to split out the Left and Right eyes. (Tried 3dtv.at's mvc to avi converter, but for some reason I am getting a massive quality loss, not to mention the files are huge and need to be converted to mov before neo3d will recognize them.)
I'm pulling my hair out over this one, and can't find much info out there.
Anybody working with this camera yet? All discussion is helpful!
    Thanks,

The Black Magic UltraStudio 3D can separate the streams via HDMI into Left and Right QT's. I plan on playing out via Z10000 into UltraStudio, then save R&L Cineform files, then run then through Remaster.

I assumed that Neo 3D would support it, have you found a working solution?

Do you have to use FCP? I think Nuke is more suited to a stereo workflow . . .

I'm trying to stay with FCP for now. Cineform just released a beta of their new GoPro Cineform Studio software, which is able to convert the .MTS (MVC codec) files into the left/right integrated CNFM codec, which is a pretty powerful tool. (You can swtich between 2d mode and various 3d modes with a touch of a button and no rendering!) Unfortunately, the MVC functionality is only available on the PC version of the software. So I'm converting on a PC before working with them on my Mac. Aside from moving between PC and Mac, it's basically a one step process, which is far better than anything else I've been able to find to get these MVC files into FCP.

I have the same problem. I want to add a Z10000 alongside my 3DA1 (have one arriving for a trial next week) and keep editing on a Mac but it isn't easy at the moment. I binned my last PC several years ago and I don't really want to buy a new one just to convert Z10000 files.

Grass valley's Edius 6, the 3D beta version, will also handle MVC files but it's a Win7 application. Peter Wimmers free MVCtoAVIConvertor will give you an intermediate (very large) AVI file which you can import but it's PC only and I haven't been able to get it to run on a Mac using Crossover, although it has been done using Parallels and a Win license.

The Ultrastudio 3D is interesting from the point of view of being able to split the Z10000 HDMI into two SDI streams for inexpensive recorders like the Samurai or the Shuttle, but it's a heck of a lot of money if all you want is separate left right streams. As an uncompressed external recorder solution for the Z10000 though it's potentially a lot cheaper than the Nano3D or the Gemini...
