I got a Trusmt Follow Focus NF1 and it came defective It's very stiff and it grinds. It's a shame because it's very well built. It's the second follow focus that lets me down... defective trusmt follow focus: https://vimeo.com/47439281

And? How about just contact their support and get replacement. Rare things can also happen, but their support is superb.

    They make extremely good FF.

Whelp, looks like I'm giving the TrusMT a go. The baggage handlers somehow managed to destroy the follow focus that was in my bag, so I need something quick! I'll give my reports once I get it.

I use the TrusMT matte box. It's a very good piece of equipment. Sturdy and just nice looking. Some minor minor complaints, but really no disappointments using it

I like the TrusMT for the most part. It’s very in expensive so I think you get a lot for the price. I think it might be a tad stiff but if you use SLR lenses this is a plus. I just ordered a Tilta Follow Focus and will do a review when I get it.

Is the stiffness adjustable at all? I just an O'Connor FF on the shoot yesterday and it's going to be hard to go back!

Nope. Cant adjust the stiffness. I used an Arri a while back and that ruined me. So smooth. These are designed mainly for SLR lenses so thats probably why they are stiffer. I'm hoping the Tilta isn't. We shall see.

I bought my friend's TrusMT from him a while back and I love it! SO smooth, much better than my indifocus ff. Unfortunately he gave it to me without the hard stops for some reason, but even still - great bang for the buck follow focus.

I just recieved my TrusMT FF in the mail, and I must say I am pleasantly surprised. It's not Arri or O'Connor, but for $350 it's a very nice build quality. Very happy that due to the dual gears I can have the FF on the dumb side of the camera and have my MB up against the lens.

I just received the Tilta follow focus and my first impression is positive. Not stiff at all. Much less than the TrusMT. This is a good thing for me since I use cine lenses as much as SLR. I’m a little concerned with the weight. Haven’t tested it out yet on my rig but so far looks really good!
