Kholi, anyway you can get your hands on a vivitar 19mm? Would like to see it compared to to the zeiss, it's soft wide open, but stopped down, it becomes beautiful. It's one of my favorite lenses that I own, but then again, I don't own any super expensive glass, mostly Canon fd.

No, the iPhone 4 doesn't cut it. The iPhone 4S with 48Mb/s is fine though.

Honestly, I've intercut and even confused myself with phone and GH2 footage at this focal length and such!

Anyway back on topic, looking forward to the 28mm lens comparisons

Yes, 4S, that's what I meant (sorry, not an iFan personally). Seen some pretty respectable looking footage from it though, as well as from some new Nokias and other devices. But I think a cellular-shootout is a whole different story personally.
Need Adobe CS Production Studio? I happen to have one retail box for sale!

No need to do a cellular shootout. GSMArena already has amazingly thorough (including DSLRS, 5D etc video comparisons) here: http://www.gsmarena.com/vidcmp.php3?...&idPhone3=4212

Specifically it was just an off-chance if Kholi had an iPhone 4S or a Galaxy S3 which would be a curveball to throw in with respect to his own a controlled fixed focal length test with the GH2. Don't worry too much though if ya don't wann =] I'm just saying it's a funny thing to do if you have time!

Thanks for the tests, Kholi. Looking forward to them.

I've been using Orion V4b and it's plenty good for my purposes, so unless somebody tells me there's a different hack that has a significant improvement in image quality, I'm sticking with this one.

    So this is kinda neat

Having fun with a new old set of Anamorphics and GH2.

Adapter's Hot Rod Cameras, the set's Kowa Prominar 35's, real deal old school PL mounted treasures.

Will throw some footage up from 'em soon.

P.S. I never really had the time (or patience) to do the semi wide/normal comparisons. I started, realized I flubbed part of it, started again, forgot a lens, had to take a lens back... just very hard to do! More respect to those that can do those shootouts, man.

I would recommend people take a look at Vivitar lenses, though. I've almost completed a set of the decent ones and I love the look, especially the zooms.

    Hey Thanks.

Four lens set, about four thousand to five thousand for each lens, so somewhere's around twenty grand.

Plus they still need the fronts converted to standard size, so yeah.
