Just found info about a AG-AC120EN which seems to be a 130 without EVF. Anyone knows anything?

Exactly Barry, We did not see the point of bringing it in when there are times the EVF is really necessary.

That's insane. What is the point of taking off the EVF. So you can't see the picture in bright sunlight.

Might work fine for a cheap studio setup or an institution like a church that was going to keep them on pedestals in a single room all the time. In my former line of business (designing distance learning classrooms for colleges), I would have considered these on a remote pan/tilt mount as high quality robot cams. Or it could be a dedicated jib/crane camera. There are quite a few applications where the EVF is just dead weight and extra money.
