Thanks Reaktor. Yes, it woud be nice to have in-camera stabilisation as well, but carefully handled (monopod perhaps) I guess the 5Xn can produce steady video.

I've used the 5N on a couple of gigs. Asides from the occasional over heating problems, and the fact that I can't get any of my tripod plates on it properly, I love the camera. The image is excellent. I love the 1080 60p for slow motion. And the fact that it is tiny and can fit in my pocket with the 16mm lens is amazing. I showed the camera to my friend and he thought I was joking, than I showed him some footage and he couldn't believe it.

ANOTHER awesome Video feature I just started playing with today....the shutter goes all the way down to 1/4"!!! Canon DSLRs only go to 1/30th :P (another "crippled" canon feature)..why is this good? Timelapses without intervalometer; when you want to do a quick set-up timelapse with no intervalometer! )

Man oh man! 5N is sooo creatively capable.. I love finding out more and new things to do with her... so much milking and juicing of all the good stuff out of her teets

Hmmm.....interesting. People are reporting the overheating problem and I have no doubt that it is happening. I also find it interesting that some of us have had no problem at all with over heating. I shot all night on Monday night and didn't have a single problem. I was prepared for it just in case, but it never happened. That's interesting....

I was shooting in the sun on a warm day and didn't get the overheating warning until after over an hour of shooting. I had a z-finder gaffed to the LCD at the time. Others have mentioned the overheating issue since the camera hit the streets and you would have to expect it to overheat given how thin the body is. I would never do any serious work with just one body. For $600 you can get a second body and swap them out if they overheat.
