This is my third 48hr festival and I think we finally got a formula that worked.. and we managed to finish with 30 min to spare.

Sponsored by the Cohase Chamber of Commerce in Bradford Vt.
This film was conceived, shot, and finished in 48 hours.

    The criteria were:
    Prop: Have-a-heart animal trap
Location: The bandstand/gazebo in Haverhill town center
Line of Dialog: "Do the dance. You gotta do the dance."
    Genre: Mystery/ Who dunnit?

Starring Andy Butterfield, Cael Barkman, Dan Butler, and one 'special' actor.

    Written by John Milton Oliver

Directed, shot, edited, and music by Tim Joy

Everything else and Art Direction by Daniel Sparling

Awards- Best use of Prop, Audience favorite, and 1st place! $500 Prize.

Shot on the canon T2i with magic lantern and various manual lenses. VO recorded with the zoom H4n and neumann mic.
This is the same version shown at the screening.

    Thanks for watching!

That was pretty funny. I've done those fests before and I think you nailed the perfect balance of fun and quality.

    Well done,

    Thanks, Kegan.

It was a far cry from the 1st 48 gets I did- 15 people, cast of 8, all the gear, 2 cameras shooting double system sound, 15 scenes in a 7 min DRAMA. ugh. Way too much.
I like the B&W with narration and 5 people much better!
