I no longer use lens adapters, but I still visit this forum from time to time. I've owned an M2, a Letus Extreme, and a Letus Ultimate. I used these adapters on my old HVX200 and my old HPX170. I mostly use my AF100 now since I just sold my RED MX. I also own a GH2 that I recently hacked. I miss the 422 color of the HPX170, but I'm pretty happy with my AF100s DoF characteristics. If I want 422 I'll rent a NanoFlash.

I'm still using an adapter when I have the time. M3+XF300 is definitely one of my favorite combination to shoot with.
Mark- Take a look at our 15mm Shoulder Rigs. Starting at a basic pad and handgrips, and moving up to a counterweighted system.

Replaced my Letus Ultimate with a Sony PMW-F3. Moved the Zeiss ZF lenses straight over.

Loren,
Thanks for the link. Redrock gear has been a front runner in all of my tech scouting thus far. I'll definitely look into the counter balance options as well.
All the best,
MM

Using the Sony EX3 with a Redrock M3, loads of fun.

If only we could see side by side scene comparisons between adaptors. One has troubles understanding the look difference between an M3 and a Letus.

i imagine that between dslrs, reds, af100s, fs100s, and possibly a new hair dryer, 35 adapters will be going going gone pretty soon.

As I mentionned before, if one wants to stick with XDCAM EX and one does not have the budget for an F3, adaptors remain the only option.

Sure the adaptors have and will get less popular, but never dissapear. An adapter makes me flexible as hell, one camera can give me many different looks that fits my needs. No moire, aliasing, overheating, och sweat when checking the footage =)
