Here is a free transition plugin that I loved with FCP, Too Much Too Soon's Flash Frame. Unfortunately those guys don't make them for PP, I can't even pay for it. I wonder where I can download it. I can pay some cash for it, but I'm not sure if I want to pay for a package from like NewBlueFX like this one which is as close as I can get to what I want: http://www.newbluefx.com/light-blends.html
Anywhere else I can go?
Thanks

You can try to create it yourself experimenting with effects in Premiere Pro. Some of the best effects and transitions I've created have been from fiddling around and such. I will agree that Premiere Pro option for transitions are nowhere near FCP and if u want cool transitions u have to be on a PC

Hey yeah I thought about that, with AE though not Premiere.
Thanks

Actually you can do it with both. Play around with your effects and you will be surprised what you can come up with in Premiere. AE would be the most obvious but Premiere is a program you can't underestimate. It has loads of potential and people are finally starting to see that. But you are still learning so experiment with what you got before you rely on third party products to be ur end all be all solution

You can also make your own. From Ann Bens:
You will have to make it your self.
First clip add the Fast Blur effect and the Levels effect.
10 frames from the end set keyframes for bluriness, RGB white input and RGB gamma.
5 frames from the end set RGB Gamma to 50.
Now go to the last frame and set RGB white input to 0 and bluriness to 20.
For the second clip place same effects and set keyframes in reverse.
(first frame bluriness 20, RGB white input 0 etc.)
When ready you can make a Preset out of the effects.Kevin Monahan

This is way cool... it's like a new door has just been opened. I'll play around with this and explore some more.Last edited by chromeboy007; 08-18-2011 at 01:19 PM. Reason: I can't type
