    Hi all!
I'm trying to write a short script that eventually may be shot on 35mm. My idea revolves around a twenty something boyscout who's trying to return a wallet he has found. I'm trying to think of situations that portrays the city folk as inconsiderate, selfish people. So far there's been a attempted robbery, an angry dog and his owner. He has also run into a hooker, but that's it for now. I have other ideas such as him stopping at a playground for some reason and being chased away by angry parents. Anyways, I would really appreciate your input. Thanks guys!

Have you thought of maybe adding in some sort of temptation about using the money in the wallet (if there is any...) It seems like in a big city setting, that could be a viable occurance. Or, if you really wanted to complicate things, you could add in the temptation to use the money for a good cause, like buying a starving homeless person food or something. Just my 2 cents. Oh yea, another thing is in the real world, Boy Scouts only go to age 18. Maybe I missed something? is it a wallet he found back in the day? or are you portraying him as a current boy scout?

    Love the idea.

Don't forget the people who think he's trying to scam them.

Also...suggested reading, though it might make you change your interpretation of events: Candide.

Thanks for your replies guys! I guess my character never grew too old to continue his do-good attitude. I wanted him to be a boyscout because they epitomise the good in people. I like the idea of having the sense of temptation thrown in there, especially for a good cause. Thanks again guys and if you have more ideas don't hesitate to reply again.

Well, I personally am an Eagle scout, and I found that after Boy Scouts there are still oppourtunities in the scouting world. There is a program, or programs, known as venture scouting, which are geared toward people who are older. You can be in these programs as a participant until age 21. I don't know if this helps you any, but it's good to wrap your mind around the subject you will be shooting. Venture scouting includes programs like sea scouts, search and rescue, explorer posts etc etc. Seems like a cool idea though. If you need any more advice or have any questions I was an active participant of the program for around 7 years, and so I know how it works. Feel free to pm or email me if you have any questions.
