That was going to be in the movie when they shot it...Then 9/11 happened so they cut it. It wasn't made just for the film, it was going to be part of Spidey's first do-good montage.

[QUOTE=ChrisHurn;2394589]To be fair, the author of that video synced it all up to make it like the trailer, the only similarities in the actual game and trailer seem to be the fact that you can jump around on rooftops which look quite industrial, and then it is cleverly cut together to sort of match it. I didn't read it properly the first time and I thought that was the actual game trailer, not some guys edit. (For some reason a lot of people think that is the actual trailer or segment from the game shot for shot).[QUOTE=/ChrisHurn;2394589]

OK , but its the same camera movement frame for frame ..not the hanging on the heli, the environment just differ and the hero in the game is a girl who has put her pms to great use

It's way too soon to revisit this story. Definitely looks less bright and more of a darker side to the story which I find intriguing, but for the same reason it won't have as much charm. Not impressed at all with the final sequence of the trailer where SpiderMan swings through the city. Reminds me of a cheap 4D ride at a local amusement park with plastic looking 3D animation and camera movement that resembles a video game rather than eyes sitting on the head of a shoulder.

I did not enjoy watching that at all... nothing to say. Not doing this one maybe on a dvd in a few years. It seemed so forced and waaaaaay too serious but not really... no I really didn't like this.

I'll still see it. Curious to see how it turns out, regardless of the ridiculous ending to the trailer.

I'm hoping this is the Spiderman we were supposed to get.

    1) Mary Jane should not exist. The origin story featured Gwen Stacy, who dies by the hand of the original green goblin. She is tossed from the Brooklyn Bridge and Despite spiderman saving her, she dies. That is sooooo important to spidey's character. He doesn't get the girl. I'm excited to see that it appears Mary Jane won't be a central character and the Stacy's (Gwen and her Police Capt. Father) are in the story.

Also, happy to see The Lizard/DrConnor will be in the script. That is exciting.

I'm giving this reboot a chance, because I feel like the 1st spiderman wasn't true to itself, despite being fairly good.

Now they need to reboot Venom/Brock. Brock should be larger in stature and not a puss that Topher Grace was. It needs to be darker and more evil... not emo and strange, like symbiotic-costume spiderman was. The symbiotic black-costume is more like a drug addiction, not a 14 year old going through his 'The Cure' phase.

I'm sorry but with the exception of SpideyII, the franchise was pretty weak... I only liked two, because DocOc was amazing.\

I'm excited for the new one... however I doubt I will like it.

My biggest fear right now is the horrible 1st person perspective of spidey.... seems like a 3D gimmick. I don't feel I'm watching a film when I see it... I feel like I'm on a Universal City 3D adventure ride. Ugh.

If cinematography wasn't infinite, I'm sure I would have found the end by now.

I agree that it's way too soon to revisit this. It's like Hollywood has seen the success of films that deal with teenagers in HS, like "Twilight" and they're like, "Oh, let's do that." I grew up reading the comic books, so I know all about Spidey and despite my concerns about Tobey, they did a great job with the franchise and I thought the films just got better and better and stayed true to Spidey. SII probably was the best of the three though.

Hollywood is just going nuts with all the super-hero films and I guess one of the studios wanted to cash in some more. The trailer to me is weak. It's like, hey, I've seen this all before. It's the same, just with a different person getting bit by the spider. Oh wait, we get to see the new guy learn his powers all over again. Yeah, can't wait.

    Watch the film (1/21/13) HERE!

I was a little perturbed when I heard of this reboot, since it seemed too soon, but I have to say:

    a) Marc Webb. I liked 500 Days of Summer and think he will do a good job with this film.
    b) I think Garfield has a good look for Parker
    c) Mechanical web shooters ('nuff said)
    d) I like the costume slightly better here than in Raimi's
    e) Martin Sheen as Uncle Ben

I'm not sure about the whole "Peter losing his family" at the beginning of the trailer. That seems to add a element to the film that won't need to be there, but I withhold judgment until it comes out.

There's also nothing about the villain, and I think the movie is going to hinge on that. Spider-Man 2 is such a great film BECAUSE Spidey was given his most classic villain to battle, and it was superbly cast and conceptualized. We saw nothing of the baddie in the trailer, so that gives me pause.
