    Agreed - any shortcomings in the output I attribute to me alone. But I do hear that the lens firmware speeds up the autofocus on the kit lens and slows it down on the 20mm (thereby making it quieter, if you're down with the computer pulling your focus. That sounds vaguely dirty...) Maybe I'll try it!

    Too funny. But, you make a good point too.

    The cameras today are so good, it's seldom about the camera. It's much more about the composition, the lighting, and most importantly the story you are telling.

    I used a T2i with Tokina 11-16 for the trip to the boatshed, T2i with LA7200 anamorphic adapter for the intro interviews, and a point and shoot Lumix LX4 720p HD for the dolly shots of the cabin.

    yeah the hvx is dark! i'm spoiled by 6400 asa on the 60D which actually can look decent.
