Hola, mi amigos. When I am looking at the LCD screen using the focus assist and my hand happens to come near the EVF sensor, the LCD screen turns off and its really annoying. My question is, can I turn off the EVF sensor so the LCD screen stays on, even if my hand comes near the EVF sensor? How do I do this in the menu? Thanks.

There's a button that allows you to toggle back and forth. It's on the back of the camera. It allows you to select either/or.

The default is 'auto' where anything blocking light coming into the EVF (normally your eye/head) will cause the picture to move from the LCD to EVF. There is an option to disable this feature and have it only swap with a button press. I am at work I don't recall the location of said option. Dig a bit ....

Hope that helps.Eye sensor is active when the [AUTO SWITCH] of the [LVF/LCD SWITCH] (P134) in the [CUSTOM] menu is set to [ON], switching automatically to viewfinder display when an eye or object is moved closer to the viewfinder, and to LCD monitor display when moved away. Sensitivity of the eye sensor can be set to [LOW] or [HIGH] with [SENSITIVITY].
Drove me nuts when I first got the camera. Think the default should be off.

if the default is off then no one would know it existed =). i find it useful for photography, its a nuisance when filming though.
