I've been meaning to put this up for a while.
I recut our demo recently so we would have some new stuff to show right before SXSW this year.
In the past all my demos have been MOS montages set to music - but I never felt like was really communicating what we do (which is mainly tell stories, not just shoot nice stuff).

In the past few years the bulk of our work and concentration has been on video content specifically for the web (series, campaigns, and one off pieces).
So hopefully this helps capture that a bit more - that was the idea anyhow.

Let me know what you think -
I've since worked on some projects I'm pretty happy with, so as soon as time permits I may be going back and doing some reediting on it.

I like it. So many people have just the MOS stuff (including myself) that it really stands out and makes a much bigger impact than normal. Especially with what you see every kid who got a nice camera for Christmas shooting, what you're saying has become a lot more important than pretty pictures; this sells.

I thought it was great, maybe a little long (just my opinion though). None the less fun to watch, the work quality is fantastic.

I liked the new format. Definately different. Makes me wana call you and find out more about your company.
The consistent titles that intersect the piece really pulls all of the parts together.
The VOs are hilarious and interesting in their own right.

Thanks for the feedback guys - much appreciated.
I originally wanted to keep it to 2 mins max, but it got away from me a bit - there are still segments I actually feel are too short, but overall I agree it's probably too long.
It's tough to include a lot of different samples of work when you try to include audio from those pieces as well... because you have to give enough audio to at least get across an idea of what it's about.
Not making excuses for it - just explaining what I was struggling with when editing.

Thanks for the comments on the color grading - I was pretty happy with it.

That is one of the things that stood out for me too. Nice vibrancy. First thing I noticed.

By the way, for those who are interested - other than a few select clips which were treated in Color, pretty much everything was graded within FCP using the standard tools -
or in some cases free plugins.

I do a lot of work with other people, and we have to share project files a lot of the time, so I generally try to keep my workflow to standard tools in FCP so I can be assured anyone else who needs to open the project will be able to render it out if they need to.

Hi Luis, nice to see all your stuff encapsulated in one place ... great stuff.
And thanks for your advice prior to NAB, hope maybe one day we meet face to face.

No problem at all - glad I could help.
And I'm sure something will get me to NYC one of these days - if so I'll definitely try to do some sort of DVXuser meetup there.
