For which media size? Plus I suspect it will be tough to truly verify anything until NAB.

Also keep in mind that the 1080 24p will be written to a 60i stream like the DVX does with SD. Jan mentioned that it one of these threads.

Hard to say as I'm still unclear whether the 24p modes will actually write to P2 with their pulldown or at their native frame rates.

So the only 1080P will be 24 and 30 fps. I can't wait to use the 720 60p for effects work.

Your right, because if it's true 24p to P2 then that changes it vs maybe a 60P with flagged frames. Well, it's only a few more days tell we get many answers.

It seems logical either way. I'd be more in favor of the native frame rates. If you think about it there's really no place you could play a P2 back other than the camera or in an NLE. Both of which would be capable of adding the pulldown.

But will it be written on the card that way... that's the question. Or will it know how to delete the "C" frame...
I expect that if there's firewire streaming, it'll send the full 60i stream out the firewire port, but for recording on card, I think there's a possibility they may know how to drop the "C" frame and record 80mbps... or maybe they just record the whole stream because there is no provision for flagging "active frames" in 60i in any other form of DVCPRO-HD recording...

Oh definitely out the FW port(assuming it has one) it will have to be 60i at all time in order to be usable. It would be great to have the option to write to P2 with or without pulldown.
