    Good day,

What is a good wireless monitoring solution for the 7D, looking for a solution around $500?

    Thanks!

Kreedman, I would like to know this too...I know the Brite View Air SyncHD is cheap ($230) and offers wireless HD streaming (at various resolutions) but it has to be powered with a 5V 3A supply of some sort and there isnt a portable solution for that yet (although I've been thinking about using Tekkeon batteries for this as they have the necessary adapters and voltage requirements, just the mounting of it will be tricky).
If batteries aren't your thing then the AC adapters they come with are fine too. A nice HDMI monitor would then complete the equation.
Other than that, I dont know.
Would love to hear what others on this forum have to say because if it could be done well and cheaply then it would be sweet for steadicam and dolly setups.

    Cheesycam.com posted a self-brewed solution using a $190 system here: http://cheesycam.com/streaming-hd-video-ouput-wirelessly/

It's DC 5V, so you could easily use JAG35's new LP-E6 plate as a portable battery solution. That's only an additional $50 for the plate plus LP-E6 batteries to power. Even then, I wouldn't object to using the cheap knock-off batteries at around $20 each.

So ASUS wireless system, plus adapter plate, plus 3 batteries, and some miscellaneous cabling and mounting...probably looking at around $350 for the whole setup.
