Looks fantasic... as long as the same native SmallHD slim batteries that work with the DP6 also work with the PD4... they just sold me on it over redrock's EVF

I got their email alert today about this. I like the HDMI pass thru concept, great to daisy chain monitors.
Although the 4" is way too small for me I look forward to an update on the DP6 for HDMI thru.
A DP6 thru to a DP9 for client handoff would be sweet.

Have they released a price yet? Also, I did not see a price for the DP-6... really interested in that as well for the extra resolution.

Estimated price for DP4 is $550... include the EVF piece and the package is $750.

For larger cameras, the 1280x800 PD6 is of course far more ideal but the 800x400 DP4 is meant for small and light DSLR rigs which is perfect for getting it into places where larger rigs would be cumbersome. I would look at it primarily as a B-cam monitor or EVF.

Looks nice of course, but I wish they'd release a DP8 or DP9...

alternative EVF options are some of the hottest things to dive into right now. right up there with external recorders. makes perfect sense from SMALLHD. Hope they come out with a SDI version as well.
