I thought the steadycam work was nice, But I honestly am not all that fond of the image . The shots are inconsistant, there's some great ones, and some just fall apart. This vid would shine with a 4:2:2 cam. overall it was really nice work.

    Good on you.

I am guessing this was shot in rehearsal and you guys were under pressure... gotta love stage shows. Stage stuff is very difficult to shoot.
    You guys did real well.

Dont apologise for the music either. Its what it is and thats show biz.

Not sure what all you want commented on... The footage looks good given the challenge of shooting in a theater/auditorium environment. (very low light and constantly changing color temperatures.) The steady cam work looks very smooth. The piece overall is running too long and even though there are multiple costume changes being shown, it is all pretty much similar routines and gets a little boring. The first thing to go should also be the cuts of the singers singing "their songs" while we are hearing "Babs." It's known as flapping gums. Otherwise, the editor looks like they worked hard on making the dancers look as if they were performing to the track, just get rid of the shots they are off a little and fade the song sooner, then this thing will be tightened up and ready to go! Overall, nice work though!

thanks for the comments, this was my first shoot with the AF100, we had and hour and a half to shoot the show and it was durning the dress rehearsal we only had one take for everything and no control what so ever with the lighting or any other aspect for that matter

everything was shot at 800 iso and no CC done that is a rough cut I agree that its a bit too long I will try and cut it down, that was my first time filming any kind of stage show and it was challenging the lighting design was great for a live performance but not so good for filming.

I found that the camera preformed well, but it would fall apart with some of the coloured lights
we used a nikon 17 mm lens that was set to f4

the camera is great to work with the form of the camera and all of the "video camera feature" make it a joy to work with compared to a DSLR, also great for a steadicam call the video outs make it a pleasure for the steadicam guys

Thanks for the comments and anymore feedback would be greatly appreciated the purpose of the video is to show various event venus including casinos and event planners etc to try and sell the show. That was the first stage show for the dancers and singers as well.

Was it the Nikon 17-55, or 17-35 that you used?

I think he was using an ancient Tokina manual 17mm prime f3.5 with a Nikon Mount.... a foggy bastard that I've used as well on occasion...
